The 29th edition of the Orange Africa Cup of Nations begins in 10 days in South Africa and supporters from all over the continent are getting ready to sing their hearts out, scream and share their passion for football during three weeks.
In the event of a major international sporting competition such as the Orange AFCON 2013, supporters hold a very important place: it is they who set the atmosphere inside the stadium and in the cities; they are a main source of motivation for the players on the pitch, who give it their all to reward them for their support.
In this moving video below, Orange pays tribute to these eternal football fans with a short film portraying a family of supporters from Cameroon who travels thousands of miles to go and support their team in the stadium. Directed by Drake Doremus, who received an award at the Sundance Festival in 2011 for his motion picture “Like Crazy”, this short film depicts how these fans are willing to travel for days and make sacrifices in order to live their passion. And with an original version of “You’ll Never Walk Alone” playing in the background, goose bumps are guaranteed!
