what happens in Vegas… #CES13

Next week, from January 8th to 11th, the lovely city of Las Vegas will be host to the 2013 edition of the Consumer Electronic Show, the biggest consumer technology tradeshow of the year.

As always, the Las Vegas Convention Center will be buzzing throughout the duration of the event and the thousands of attendees will be going up and down the Strip to get a glimpse of the latest novelties in the world of high tech. Roughly 3,000 exhibitors from 150 countries will indeed be presenting more than 20,000 products to the 3,000 journalists expected to cover the event.

Every year, the CES sets the trend for the year to come in terms of computers, smartphones, tablets, home theaters, car entertainment etc… In the past editions, several major products were introduced in Las Vegas, such as DVD, Xbox, IP TV, Bluray Disc and 3D HDTV.

For the first time since 1999, Microsoft won’t be attending and Qualcomm CEO Paul Jacobs will fill the void left by Bill Gates to deliver the opening keynote of the event.

Predictions for this 2013 edition include new breakthroughs in terms of tablet and smartphone use in a home environment, Ultra HD televisions in all sizes, cloud services and internet access on TVs, and of course, plenty of Android and Windows 8 powered devices.

Throughout the week, we’ll bring you a daily show with all the news about the innovative products that we’ll find, and also some behind the scenes action from Vegas…

See you on January 9th for the first round-up !
