We are continuing our mini-portrait series of women speaking at the 2012 Women’s Forum with Delphine Remy-Boutang.
For eleven years, Delphine worked at IBM, and held the international role of Marketing Manager of Social Media for her four final years there. At the start of 2012, she decided to go solo and set up her own consultancy firm, based in London and Paris, called “the social bureau”. The firm specializes in social media strategy for companies, otherwise known as “social business”. Thanks to the success of this venture, Delphine will soon be welcoming two new partners, and opening two new international offices, with the social bureau being renamed “the bureau”.
In this interview, we asked her what exactly prompted her to leave her comfortable position at IBM, where she had a good reputation, and particularly during a period of financial crisis. She also gives us her outlook for growth, and responds with absolute honesty when asked the question we put to everyone – how does she disconnect from the digital world? Interview!
