Posdnuos, Trugoy and Maseo formed De La Soul in 1987 in Long Island. Their debut on the American music scene was marked by the release of “3 Feet High and Rising”, an album which was hailed as a masterpiece. The group members have not limited themselves to just hip-hop, but have also experimented with funk and soul, as well as with jazz and reggae. In 2006 the band won a Grammy Award for the single ‘Feel Good Inc.’ which they recorded with Gorillaz. The song also won two MTV Video Music Awards. Their most recent album, their 10th already, – De La Soul’s Plug 1 & Plug 2 present… First Serve – was released on April 2 and has already received rave reviews.
Although they will come to Poland with new songs, they are sure to also perform great hits such as Me, Myself and I, The Magic Number, Ring Ring Ring (Ha Ha Hey) and All Good?.
De La Soul will perform on June 9 before Garbage and Linkin Park. On the following night, the headline act will be The Prodigy. Other performers will be announced soon.
