On Sunday, August 12, at exactly midnight, the Olympic flame was extinguished during the closing ceremony for the London Olympic Games. Boris Johnson, the mayor of London, passed the Olympic flag to Eduardo Paes, his Rio de Janeiro counterpart, as they will host the Games in 2016. Jacques Rogge solemnly and officially brought the 2012 Summer Olympics to a close. After 2 weeks of Olympic fever, what memories will we take from this extraordinary sporting event?
